采用不同学制联合培养的教育模式,使得其对于专业知识的掌握各有侧重,分别承担不同的工作角色,互相协作配合、相得益彰。这是根据我国国情因地制宜、因材施教的教育方案,不同国家可能有所不同。例如美国作为世界上最早开展眼视光教育的国家之一,自1872年Illinois College of Optometry成立以来,其教育制度逐渐发展充实,形成了全美统一的眼视光教育模式,即在大学4年预科的基础上,再经过4年的眼视光研究生教育,既可以获得眼视光博士学位(Doctor of Optometry)[7-8]。4年期间学习内容包含了医学基础课程、眼视光基础及临床课程等,全面系统且循序渐进,学生毕业后可以作为眼内科医生开展临床诊疗,也可以开展验光配镜、视觉训练等视觉保健工作,类似于我国5年制眼视光教育涵盖的范围[9-11]。
